Workshop Rotation: for First through Fourth Grades
The First through Fourth Graders will follow “The WoRM,” the Workshop Rotation Model. They will spend four weeks on a story or theme experiencing it in different ways. Each class will work in one “workshop” (art, theater, games, audio-visuals, and more) each Sunday. In each workshop they will meet new workshop leaders and work with the shepherds who stay with their class for the entire year. The children will gather in the Theater Room at 9:30 for a time of music and prayer.
First Grade Worship Education Class
Each fall the First Graders participate in a special Worship Education program to prepare them to attend worship regularly with their parents. This class will occur from 10:30 - 12:00 on Sundays from September 26 through November 14 when the children will be publicly welcomed to worship during the 11:00 service. Parents will receive further explanation about this program shortly.
Fifth/Sixth Grade Bible Survey Class—First Floor of CE Wing, Room 205
It’s YOUR Bible! During the 11:00 worship service on September 12th fifth and sixth graders will be presented with Bibles. That will be great, but just having a Bible in your hands doesn’t really make it your own. To make it your own, you have to know how to use it, read parts of it, and begin to see what it says about your life at school, on the field, at a sleepover – basically everywhere you go. The goal of this class is to make the Bible in your hands really “yours” and to have a good time with good friends with whom we share the Bible.
